AT II GLOBAL FISHERY FORUM IN SAINT-PETERSBURG PRIZES WAS AWARDED TO WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION "THE BEST FISH PRODUCT - 2018"
The 2nd Global Fishery Forum & Seafood Expo Russia, the Russian fishery sector’s key event, has concluded in St. Petersburg. Leading businesspersons, members of fisheries organizations, heads of sectoral agencies from around the world have assembled at the Forum that has become a crucial venue for discussions in the professional community. Over 1,100 Forum delegates and over 3,000 exhibitors and Expo visitors attended GFF 2018. Participants from 42 foreign countries came to the Forum from, among other countries, Germany, Iceland, Japan, Mauritania, Morocco, Norway, the Republic if Guinea, South Korea, the US. Over 150 Russian and foreign journalists were accredited to the event.
On September 15 in frame of the II Global Fishery Forum, an awards ceremony to celebrate the winners of the industry competition "The Best Fish Product of Russia - 2018" was held.
The competition was organized by the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography (VNIRO) and Federal Institute "National Fish Resources" under the auspices of the Federal Agency for Fishery in order to promote Russian fishery products and increase their competitiveness. The open competition was attended by 28 Russian enterprises that submitted 145 samples of fish products in 6 nominations proposed by the conditions of the competition.
Seven enterprises took part In the nomination "CAVIAR AND CAVIAR PRODUCTION" . Eleven product samples were presented.
GOLD MEDAL and 1st place was awarded to “Kuban Sturgeon Farming Institute”Ltd , Krasnodar, (www.sturgeon.su) for BELUGA caviar.
